Sergey Komogortsev
Meet Our Founding Partner
Sergey Komogortsev is a dedicated and compassionate attorney licensed in Kentucky, practicing immigration law nationwide. Born in Russia, he brings a personal understanding of the challenges immigrants face in navigating the U.S. legal system.
In 2015, Sergey earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Law from John Jay College, followed by a Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 2019, where he also received a Certificate in Business Law. During law school, he gained hands-on experience at Friss Law Firm, P.C., handling cases in family and immigration law, landlord/tenant disputes, contracts, corporate obligations, and personal injury. He also worked at the South Royalton Legal Clinic, assisting asylum seekers and low-income clients with family law matters.
After law school, Sergey worked on various legal projects before launching his solo practice in 2022. His expertise includes successful credible fear interviews, bond proceedings, and parole applications, with a strong focus on removal defense.
In 2024, Sergey co-founded Invictus Law Group, combining his experience with his partner’s expertise in family law, immigration, and personal injury. Committed to expanding his reach, he plans to obtain an attorney’s license in Washington in 2025.
Sergey remains dedicated to client-centered advocacy, ensuring every client receives compassionate and strategic legal representation.
